DSLR or my LATITUDE? D:

Gosh, having dilemmas all day long as I'm only allowed to choose either DSLR or my laptop. Whta's the advantages, benefits of having a DSLR? And why should I need a laptop when there're laptops all around me. I got a desktop, 2 laptops (mine not included). Having a DSLR means that you're like having a whole photoshop. Right? Anyhow, any suggestions on what should I pick? Mom? Sis?
