I'm not very interested in arts actually. Just feeling that it's better to go out enjoy than sitting in the class listening to the teachers blab. So, I signed up myself and was there in the bus to Dewan Sri Pinang with my schoolmates yesterday. We arrived at Dewan Sri Pinang at about 2:45 p.m.. The artist Eric Quah was there to tell us about arts, introducing himself and told us about his stories during his trip in Australia, Berlin, China (Teochew), Germany and many more others countries. If you want to know more about him, GOOOOGLE IT. It's googlelable. And yes, all of his paintings are semi-abstract, as heard from Puan Agnes.
Note: The pictures below were all taken by Puan Agnes Joseph. The orders of the pictures are randomly placed, ENJOY :D
'Tribute to Carlotta' (glass painting), there's a touching story behind this picture.
'Good Earth China', if I'm not mistaken :).
'A Boat #1'?
From left to right: 'Heritage I', 'Heritage II', 'Heritage III'.
'First....Exhibition'?
'People Power', what can you see from this picture?
This picture talks about something like 抗战 thingy.
Roses. Puan Agnes said that she loves these paintings.
From left to right: 'Happy Reunion', 'A Day To Remember', 'Journey to the Distant'
'Voyage Ahead' :)
Can you point out Mr. Eric Quah and also YB Khor Tsu Koon? :)
This was his last painting since he started drawing.
All his drawings are sold approximate RM 60,000 above. And here's a photo of us and Mr. Eric Quah :D
Damn, I hate my face :S
Of course, there're still many paintings that should be mentioned here, but kinda lazy to upload :P. Sorry for the inconvenience :).
We had some activities, something like finding answers on the paintings description. I did not join them as I said that I wasn't that interested in ARTS. Went back school by 5:00 p.m.. I think thats all for today.
